Background
Jimmy Mian-Guan Lim was born in London, United Kingdom in 1980s. He is an avid researcher in oriental cultures and traditions, and a devote believer in simplicity. Jimmy has worked for a number of well known corporations including Ministry of Education Singapore, Quacquarelli Symonds Ltd London, University of Kent (KITC), Ngee Ann Polytechnic, Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts. He founded of MirageGlobe.com in 2001 which specialises in small applications and design work.
Commercially Jimmy worked closely with China Embassy (UK), RackSpace UK, Cisco, and IBM.
Research
Jimmy attained Masters in Advance Computer Science (University of London, Queen Mary) and is currently pursuing a PhD research (EPSRC Scholarship Award) in “Automated Classification of Digital Documents by User Behavior” (University of Kent). He is working with Professor Frank Wang to create and deliver one of the first Cloud Computing and Green Computing modules in the country at University of Kent. Jimmy has also mentored numerous MSc and BSc students who are now working in leading companies such as Morgan Stanley, Accenture, IBM, Microsoft, and Google.
